Aortic smooth muscle cells react positively with specific smooth muscle a-actin antibodies
when examined by fluorescence microscopy.

The Flexercell Strain Unit simulates biological strain conditions
using pressure to deform the vascular smooth muscle cells grown on a flexible-bottom culture plate.

Whole cell lysates from vascular smooth muscle cells stretched for 0, 10, 20 or 30 minutes were electrophoresed and blotted with antibodies specific for PKC-a and b-actin.
