The Department & Behavioral Medicine offers a range of mental health services from the lower level of the Marshall University Medical Center. Currently, five psychiatrists, one nurse practitioner eight psychologists and three masters-level social workers provide appointments for the outpatient treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, child & adolescent diagnoses, substance abuse and therapy for personal, interpersonal & marital issues, among other psychiatric problems. A complete range of psychologic and neuropsychologic testing is also performed.
We believe the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Medicine offers the highest quality mental health services available from experienced and competent professionals in an accessible, yet private setting. We accept the WV Medical Card and most major private insurers.
