Salary and Benefits

Beginning July 1, 2007

                  PGY-II $43,000
                  PGY-III $44,000

Vacation
An annual 21 days non-accrual vacation, including Saturday and Sunday is provided.

Sick Leave
Sick leave accumulates at four hours every two weeks and is accruable only for the current year.

Continuing Medical Education
PG-1 Residents receive $650.00 per year for book allowance. PG-2-4 Residents receive $1,000 per year for book allowance and/or conference expenses. One week of Continuing Medical Education is provided during each of the second, third and fourth years.

Moving Expenses
A one time moving allowance of $500.00 is provided.

Health Insurance
Health insurance is available for you and your family through the master policy of University Physicians &
Surgeons, Inc.. This includes major medical coverage. Residents will be required to pay a portion of the
insurance cost. The type of policy chosen will determine the amount.

Life Insurance
Term life insurance is provided at one and one-quarter percent (1 1/4%) of annualized stipend.

Malpractice Insurance
Residents are covered by the State of West Virginia's comprehensive liability insurance policy which
includes malpractice coverage in the amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence.

Uniforms
Two lab coats are given to each resident the first year, and one per year thereafter.
