Pregnancy is a time of great joy and anticipation for parents, and care of the normal pregnancy is one of medicine’s few happy endeavors. The sub-specialty of Maternal-Fetal Medicine addresses the problems and concerns of this mother/baby unit. Maternal medical conditions before pregnancy,  medical and surgical problems arising during pregnancy and fetal conditions

discovered during pregnancy are within the scope of practice of the Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist.  The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine of the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University is a referral based practice consisting of two specialists.  Care  for women with high risk pregnancies is available at  three locations.

Dr. Singh has expertise in prenatal ultrasound and diagnosis, genetic counseling and diabetes.

expertise in  hypertension, preeclampsia, coagulation disorders
