Mission

The Health Sciences Library's primary mission is serving the informational needs of the students, faculty, and staff at Marshall University and the Cabell-Huntington Hospital. The Library also plays an important role in providing information services to hospitals and healthcare professionals in the Huntington and the Tri-State area.


Access

The Library is open to the public. Members of the community may use and photocopy library materials in the Library. Books circulate only to those with Marshall University ID cards.


Location

The Library is located on the Second Level of the Rural Health Center, which is on the same site as the Cabell-Huntington Hospital.


Holdings

The Library subscribes to approximately 300 journals in the biomedical research and clinical medicine disciplines. A five year run is kept for most print journals.  A large part of the journal collection is now available online to those who are affiliated with Marshall University.  See MU Periodicals for information about our online journals.  The book collection contains approximately 8,000 volumes, which are cataloged in union online catalog of all Marshall University Libraries...
