The Cochrane Library includes three databases:

1. Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR) is a full-text source of evidence-based medicine, which evaluates the quality of clinical studies, often using meta analysis. Poorly designed and executed research is removed from the analysis. Most reviews are lengthy and comprehensively cover the journal literature. Reviews are updated as new literature appears. Boolean searching of many fields and Mesh headings are available. Authors'  relationships with for-profit organizations and interest groups are clearly listed.

2. Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effectiveness provides access to quality reviews in subjects for which a Cochrane review may not yet exist.

3. Cochrane Controlled Trials Register is a bibliography of controlled trials identified by contributors to the Cochrane Collaboration and others, as part of an international effort to hand search the world's journals and create an unbiased source of data for systematic reviews. Cochrane Controlled Trials Register includes reports published in conference proceedings and in many other sources not currently listed in PubMed or other bibliographic databases.

UpToDate is essentially an online textbook, which covers Internal medicine and its subspecialities, ObGyn, Pediatrics, and Family Medicine. Authors draw on 440 core medical journals to compile their articles. Tables and graphics are displayed in separate windows from the text of an article. However, the "printer friendly" option puts all elements of an article on one page with the graphics placed at the bottom. Most Articles are updated twice per year. Patient information is provided for many topics.

Micromedex offers access to information on clinical medicine and drugs.
