CME Faculty Selection Critieria-CME Policy 2001, revised 2005.
A. Purpose. To provide a
standard for selection of faculty for all Continuing Medical Education sponsored
activities.
B. Policy. Faculty will
be chosen based on the specifically determined criteria that will fulfill the
educational needs of the target audience.
C. General Provisions.
The potential faculty will meet the following criteria:
a. Expertise in
specific subject area.
b. Knowledge of practice
issues and problems related to subject matter.
c. Respected by medical
staff and held in high regard by the medical community at large.
d. Expertise in teaching
methods and learning strategies.
e. Knowledge of adult
learning process.
f. Willingness to
follow criteria for CME as set forth by the planning committee.
g. Willingness to
Disclosure relationships with industry that would Conflict with the presentation
of the topic.
h. Ability to address
learning needs of the target audience.
