THE MARSHALL UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER
The $32 million Marshall University Medical Center adjacent to Cabell Huntington Hospital
houses clinical departments, the Robert C. Byrd Center for Rural Health, the Health
Science Library, conference areas and the Harless Auditorium. Person interested in a

SCHOLARSHIPS
Academic scholarships for outstanding students regardless of their ability to pay are
vital to the School of Medicine as it seeks to attract the best and brightest students in
West Virginia.
DAVID A. BROSIUS, MD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The David A. Brosius, MD Memorial Scholarship was established by alumni, friends and
family members of David A. Brosius, MD, 83. This scholarship supports a student who
intends to practice primary care medicine in rural West Virginia.
FORENSIC SCIENCE PROGRAM
The School of Medicine is on the forefront of DNA research and technology and offers
advanced degrees in forensic sciences and other biomedical fields through the Marshall
University Graduate School. A proposed forensics center will include classrooms, a
laboratory and equipment for DNA analysis.
MEMORIAL AND HONORARY GIFTS
Gifts in memory or honor of an individual, group, family or organization may be designated
for scholarships, special programs or greatest needs.
NAMES ENDOWMENTS
A named gift may be established with a contribution of $10,000 or more. These gifts offer
a permanent tribute to loved ones or those who have enriched your life.
ESTATE PLANING
